Abstract - The paper describes software tools for data preparation for Universal Computer-Based Interlocking System. The tools are user friendly. They allow very efficient data design for a particular railway station using only conventional documentation (Control Table and Signalling Arrangements). The user answers the questions in the interactive fashion and the answers get transformed to the appropriate data files, which are directly usable. The tools are realized in the form of software package. The package consists from Program for design of general data and Computer Control Table, Program for design of data for controls and indications and Program for design of data for simulation. The programs content expert knowledge required for the conversion of user’s answers to the appropriate data. Hence, the tools allow automated and very efficient computer aided data preparation.
