Abstract:

In rail signalling / operation technique the application of microprocessors has adopted an ever interesting importance. Safety requirements of conventional relay devices have been transferred to the computers, which also enable acceptance of additional safety functions.

This paper deals with the basic requirements of integration, essential prerequisites of development and properties of the system with the review of incorporated (sub) systems. The advantages of application of modern electronic technology in this area do not refer only to the economic aspects.
