Microprocessor Interlocking System as A Factor of The Railway Traffic Safety

Abstract:

This paper deals with the questions of reliability and fail-safety of the station microprocessor interlocking system as factors of increase of the railway traffic safety. The analyses has been carried out on the proposed solution for domestic microprocessor interlocking system, based on the long time experience in the development and application of the railway station interlocking systems, as well as, on the recent technical and technological solution enabling the realization of very high level of the reliability and fail-safety. The results of the analyses show that the proposed concept completely satisfies the traditional railway rules concerning the necessary reliability and fail-safety.
